the artist Georges LepapeAfter being a student at the Humbert studio, he became a friend of Georges Braque, Marie Laurencin and Francis Picabia, then, at the Cormon studio , of the "dandies" Bernard Boutet de Monvel, Pierre Brissaud and Charles Martin. Thanks to a decisive encounter with Paul Poiret, in 1911 he produced the album "Les choses de Paul Poiret vues par Georges Lepape" [Paul Poiret's Things as Seen by Georges Lepape], a little masterpiece in the world of fine art publishing. After that, he became a loyal collaborator of this couturier who would revolutionise fashion and was thus a major player in Parisian haute couture. In 1912, he took part in Lucien Vogel's famous review La Gazette du Bon Ton and produced the first album of the luxurious magazineModes et Manières d'Aujourd'hui . In 1916, he was solicited by Condé Nast and designed over a hundred covers for Vogue. As a multidisciplinary artist, Lepape also created posters, illustrated books and produced a large number of illustrations for Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair et Femina.
