James Dean (1931-1955)

James Dean’s career started in advertisements for the Pepsi brand. He then took lessons at the Actors Studio in New York. His remarkable performance in the play The Immoralist on Broadway, opened the doors of Hollywood to him. There, he became the rising star of American cinema. After his first leading role in Elia Kazan’s East of Eden, he signed a contract with Warner Bros. There then came Nicholas Ray’s Rebel Without a Cause and George Stevens’s Giant, the third and final film in which James Dean appeared. A lover of speed and sports cars, James Dean died
