Rock ‘n’ Roll in Paris, the 50’s, Paul Almasy

The photographer Paul AlmasyThe Hungarian photographer Paul Almasy began his career in the early 1930s. Like the great Hungarian photographers, Brassaï, Kertesz and Kollar, he moved to France, in 1938, and worked as an international correspondent for the Swiss publisher Ringier. A genuine globetrotter, Paul Almasy left behind a unique portrait of the human condition of his era. Along with Jacques-Henri Lartigue, he was one of the founders of the association "Gens d’Images". Thanks to his numerous publications, he still remains one of the theorists of photojournalism.
