Japan Tourist Bureau, circa 1920 — TOUR38

On 12 March 1912, the Advisory Society for International Travellers, better known as the "Japan Tourist Bureau", was established in Japan. As an official public organisation, it was initially responsible for advising foreign tourists visiting Japan and later for assisting Japanese people travelling within or outside the country. It is the predecessor of the current Japan Travel Bureau, better known by its initial, JTB.
