The Eiffel Tower and the Versailles railway, Jules Lefranc

Following his family tradition, Jules Lefranc worked from an early age as an ironmonger; In 1928, he left his native town of Laval to move to the Belleville district of Paris and decided to devote himself entirely to painting. Once his career had been launched, he took part in numerous salons and also exhibited in Parisian galleries. Described as a naïve artist, he was the painter of his native town, of Paris, but also of the sea.
