Music, Modes et manières d’aujourd’hui, 1913, Charles Martin

Charles Martin came to attention when still young as a fashion illustrator. The most prestigious reviews solicited his talent: Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, La Gazette du Bon Ton. He became a member of the Salon de l'Araignée, a group of artists formed by Gus Bofa after the Great War. He exhibited there with Frans Masereel, André Dignimont, Eduardo Benito, Jean-Emile Laboureur, Lucien Boucher, Chas Laborde and Lucien Laforge.
Charles Martin illustrated the second issue of the luxurious publication Modes et manière d'aujourd'hui and thus produced the most successful volume of the seven albums published.
