Lombart tea, 1901, Eugène Ogé — PUB11

Eugène Ogé began his career as a lithograph worker for Charles Vanneau, a printer specialised in the publication of posters. In 1902, Ogé collabored on La Lanterne, the anticlerical paper directed by Victor Flachon. It was for this review that he created the emblematic poster Voilà l'ennemi (Here is the Enemy) depicting a priest with the looks of a satanic bat embracing the Sacré Coeur basilica. During his long career, Eugène Ogé produced a large number of far more joyous, with bright colours, which wer often humoristic : L'Astrolin, Thé Lombart, Bicyclette La Guêpe, Moutarde Amieux-Frères etc.
