Champagne Veuve A. Devaux, 1930, Ernst Dryden – Oversized poster 100 x 140 cm

Ernst Dryden, the Viennese fashion illustrator and decorator, was based in Paris from 1926 to 1933, before moving to Hollywood where he worked for the rest of his life. He produced several pieces for brands as prestigious as Bugatti and Voisin. For Devaux champagne, he depicted a stylised man in a suit with, behind him, a gigantic glass, all set on a green background. The drawing, layout, lettering and everything about this poster exude a sense of elegance.
