The booksellers, Boutiques de Paris, 1925, Lucien Boucher

A graduate from the Sèvres School of Ceramics, Lucien Boucher began his career as a caricaturist for the weekly Le Rire. From the 1920s onward, he produced numerous illustrations for the cinema, fashion and mainly for Air France, for which he designed posters and planispheres. In 1925, Lucien Boucher worked for the publisher Marcel Seheur, for whom he illustrated two very fine books: Boutiques de Paris and Boutiques de Foire, one year later.
