Artist Benjamin RabierBenjamin Rabier, creator of Gideon, the duck, and the no less famous "Vache qui rit", was a prolific illustrator, cartoonist, cartoonist and poster artist. Twelve years before Walt Disney and his Mickey Mouse, he was also the forerunner of the very first cartoons he made with his friend Emile Cohl between 1916 and 1917: the adventures of the dog Flambeau. Benjamin Rabier was also the principal inspiration of Tintin's creator, Hergé, who made no secret of his admiration and called him a Master.
