Markstein, new ski resort in the Vosges, 1929, Lucien Chauffard
Before becoming the head of the photo department for the Renault group, Lucien Chauffard was an excellent photographer as well as a very talented poster artist. The poster he made in pure Art Deco style on Vichy town rivals the famous one done by Roger Broders. He met Robert Doisneau at the Ullmann workshop which was specialised in pharmaceutical advertisements and became his mentor.
