Umberto Di Lazzaro was active for ten years from 1920 to 1930, with a known production of fifteen posters. His first one dates back to 1926 and was produced for the Coupe Bonmartini. In 1936, in response to a commission from ENIT (the Italian National Tourist Agency), Umberto Di Lazzaro returned to what he had learnt from the masters of futurism. Two stylised planes, one white, the other red, fly past each other, the former taking off, the latter landing. This marvellous poster is worthy of Fortunato Depero or Fedele Azari.
