Symphony of a Big City, 1928, Georgii Stenberg
The Stenberg brothers were among the very first Russian constructivists. They designed a large number of costumes and sets for the Bolshoi Kamenny theatre in Moscow. In 1925, at the exhibition of decorative arts in Paris, which was the high point of the Art Deco movement, they won the gold medal for their scenography. After Georgii’s accidental death, Vladimir continued designing posters.
