Visit Tunisia Kairouan, 1929, Joseph de la Nézière

A member of the Society of French Orientalist Painters since 1894, Joseph de la Nézière travelled extensively in North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, bringing back paintings and drawings that he exhibited on his return to France. In 1912, he became one of the main painters for the Ministry of the Colonies, which gave him a number of assignments.
