Duval-Leroy Champagne, Lucien Achille Mauzan

After studying painting at the school of fine art in Lyon, Achille Mauzan moved to Turin, Italy, in 1905, where he produced almost 1,500 posters for the nascent movie industry. In 1927, he left for Buenos Aires where he deeply marked poster art in Argentina. On returning to France in 1933, where he was practically unknown, he found it extremely difficult to mark out a place alongside Cassandre, Carlu, Cappiello and Colin.
