Ideal Dye, 1927, Jean d’Ylen

After starting his artistic career as a jewellery designer for a goldsmith on the Rue de la Paix in Paris, Jean d’Ylen made his first poster in 1912. As an admirer and follower of Leonetto Cappiello, he signed an exclusive contract with the printer Vercasson in 1912. He also created several exceptional posters for the Shell company.
